Quality and Health:

Within the process of continuous innovation which the company has undergone since its creation, the most important aspect has always been to offer a quality product and service to our customers and safe, healthy working conditions to our workers.

In this respect, the work processes of Nature Choice SAT form part of a management system which meets the requirements established in the ISO 9001:2008 standards, as a quality system reference, and in OHSAS 18001:2007, as a reference for the management of the health and safety of our workers, with the ultimate purpose of offering our customers a product which meets up to the diverse, and ever more demanding, requirements of the final consumer.

This commitment involves a declaration of intentions of continuous improvement of the management system employed, which is shown in the Quality, Health and Safety Policy of Nature Choice SAT.

 

Quality, Health and Safety Policy

S.A.T. NATURE CHOICE establishes the following aspects as commitments of its Management System:

  1. Optimization of the relation of the company with its customers, establishing quantifiable parameters which enable us to know.
    1.1. The degree of satisfaction of farmers in relation to the techical advice service offered by S.A.T. NATURE CHOICE.
    1.2. The level of compliance with the specifications established by our customers, both in the attention and service received from the company staff, and in the satisfaction shown by the final consumer with the product presented.
    1.3. The efficiency in the service and product provided by our suppliers, as an essential part of the productive chain.
    1.4. The satisfaction of all the staff of S.A.T. NATURE CHOICE with regard to the services and resources offered, and in relation to professional promotion and health prevention.
  2. Development and optimization of a quality control system which guarantees the healthiness and organoleptic properties of the product in all phases of handling and packaging, starting with the crops themselves and finishing with the delivery of the product to the final markets, complying at all times with the regulations and with any other specifications of the customers which are applicable, and also with the health-hygiene standards established by the various regulations applicable to the process of handling and distribution of food.
  3. 3. Inclusion of all S.A.T. NATURE CHOICE staff in a continuous training plan and of awareness of the importance of putting the Management Policy of the company into practice as an instrument for continuous improvement.
  4. SAT NATURE CHOICE undertakes to carry out its business activities with the least possible environmental impact, promoting environmental conservation both in the processes related to production and in those related to the handling, packaging and shipment of horticultural products.

    For this purpose, the company undertakes to:

    4.1. Reuse all the waste produced whose reuse is technically possible and whose economic cost can be taken on by the company.
    4.2. Minimize the consumption of electricity, water and fossil fuels.
    4.3. Minimize and make rational use of phytosanitary products, fertilizers and organic material.
    4.4. Promote the establishment of new environmentally friendly cultivation techniques.
    4.5. Provide the necessary means to eliminate any risk to the health of workers and consumers
    4.6. Reduce as far as possible the visual and acoustic impact of our installations on the environment.
    4.7. Promote the development of autochthonous fauna and flora.
  5. 5. Development and optimization of a prevention management system which guarantees the health and safety of the persons working at S.A.T. NATURE CHOICE, either its own staff or subcontracted workers, with a commitment for the prevention of damage and deterioration of health and complying, at all times, with the regulations and other applicable specifications. Aiming our daily efforts at continuous improvement and the performance of the company on issues of health and safety at work, so as to reduce as far as possible accidents and incidents in the company, with the purpose of making S.A.T. NATURE CHOICE a reference point as a horticultural handling company of the future, a safe company in which the workers are the keystone of its correct functioning.
  6. 6. In all its activities, the company will maintain principles of moral, working and professional ethics, with regard to its philosophy, the workers, the customers and society in general.
